1. Overview
Ember is designed so your information stays under your control. The app does not collect personal data, does not create user accounts, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not transmit your habit or planning data to the developer.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Ember does not collect, track, or sell personal data. Your information is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or external analytics providers. The app does not require sign-in and does not maintain a server-side user profile.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your activities, habits, identity traits, settings, and completion history are stored locally on your device.
- On-device storage
- All app data is held on your device under the security of the operating system.
- Private iCloud backup
- If you enable backup, it is kept in your private iCloud storage, tied to your Apple ID, and is not accessible to the developer.
- CSV export
- Exported files are generated locally. You decide whether to save or share them.
4. Optional Permissions
Certain features rely on system permissions you control. They operate on-device and do not send data to the developer.
- Notifications
- Reminder content is generated on your device so the app can alert you at the times you choose.
- Apple Calendar
- If enabled, the app accesses calendar data through Apple's system APIs to display selected events inside the app.
- Widgets
- Widgets display information already stored on your device so you can view it from your Home Screen.
5. GDPR and Privacy Principles
Ember is built around data minimization. Because no personal data is collected for the developer, there is no personal-data database, no analytics profile, and no server record of your activity. You can edit or delete your data in the app, export habit data to CSV, restore from your own iCloud backup, or remove app data by deleting the app.
6. Security
Your data stays local unless you choose to use Apple services such as iCloud backup or Apple Calendar. Protection of locally stored data and private iCloud storage depends on the security of your device, your Apple ID, and Apple's platforms.
7. Contact

Summary
